What is the random wheel
It is a wheel split into slices, one slice for each line of your list. When you press Spin, the wheel turns and stops, and the slice under the pointer is the one picked.
How to use it
- Type your list, one name or option per line, up to 100 lines.
- Press “Spin” and wait for the wheel to stop.
- Press “Spin again” for the next round.
Tick “Remove the result from the next spin” when each line may be picked only once, for example when drawing a presentation order.
What people use it for
- Calling on a student or choosing who speaks next.
- Drawing a prize at a party or during a livestream.
- Choosing a meal, a film or which task to do first.
Common questions
Is the wheel fair?
Yes. The winning slice is chosen at random with the same probability for every slice, and then the wheel spins to it.
How do I make one option more likely?
Enter that option on more than one line. Two lines give it twice the chance.
Is my list saved?
Yes, in your browser. The same list is shared with Animal Race and Team Generator.
