What is a dog race name picker
A dog race picks one random name using a pack of dogs. You type a list of names and each name is given to a dog. They all run for the finish line, and the first one there decides who is picked.
It is only a game for choosing a name. It has nothing to do with real dog racing and there is no betting.
What the dogs look like
- Six coats: brown, cream with brown spots, black, tan, grey, and white with black spots.
- Some dogs have pointed ears and some have floppy ears.
- Body length varies more than for the other animals, so some dogs are long and low and others compact.
- Tails wag all through the race.
The coat and ears come from the name itself, so the same name always gives the same dog.
How to run a dog race
- Type your names, one per line, up to 60 names.
- “Dogs” is already selected under Animal.
- Pick a race length: 10, 20 or 30 seconds.
- Press “Start race” and wait for the first dog to finish.
When to use the dog race
- Picking who presents first in a team meeting.
- Sharing out chores: who takes out the bins, who washes up, who walks the dog.
- Prize draws in pet groups and clubs.
You can type pet names instead of people, one per line, and see which one comes first.
Common questions
Is a long dog or a dog with pointed ears faster?
No. Every dog follows the same random speed rule. Shape and coat are only visuals.
Can I choose the breed?
No. The name decides the coat and the ears. To get a different dog, change how the name is written, for example by adding a surname.
What if two people have the same name?
Each line is still its own racer. Two dogs with the same name are drawn differently so you can tell them apart.
