What is a snake race name picker
A snake race picks one random name using a pack of venomous snakes. You type a list of names and each name is given to a snake. They all slide for the finish line, and the first one there decides who is picked.
Few other name pickers offer snakes, so it works well when you want something unusual and a little bolder.
What the snakes look like
- Each snake holds its head high and spreads its hood like a cobra, with its body winding behind.
- Six colours: green, black, gold, brown, blue and an albino with red eyes.
- The hood carries one of three markings. Some snakes also have bands along the body.
- The tongue flicks in and out during the race.
Colour and markings come from the name itself, so the same name always gives the same snake.
How to run a snake race
- Type your names, one per line, up to 60 names.
- “Venomous snakes” is already selected under Animal.
- Pick a race length: 10, 20 or 30 seconds.
- Press “Start race” and wait for the first snake to finish.
When to use the snake race
- Giveaways on a gaming livestream or among friends who enjoy a joke.
- Picking who takes the forfeit: buying the drinks, washing up, presenting first.
- A change for older classes that have already seen the duck race.
For young children or anyone uneasy around snakes, switch to the duck race or the chicken race.
Common questions
Why is the option called “Venomous snakes”?
It is the name of the animal button. Each racer is still one snake carrying one name from your list.
Is the albino snake or a bigger snake faster?
No. Every snake follows the same random speed rule. Colour, markings and size are only visuals.
Can snakes race against ducks, chickens and dogs?
Yes. Choose “Mix all four” under Animal and the racers take turns being ducks, chickens, dogs and snakes.
